Girl that fell into gorge and landed on a raccoon

I was thinking about something that happened back when I was attending Cornell between 1990 and 1994, but was hoping someone could help me find the actual article to clarify some of the facts.

If I recall correctly, there was a girl that went over a fence and into the woods to go to the bathroom and accidentally fell off a ledge into one of the gorges. Miraculously she landed on a wild animal that broke her fall and kept her from injury.

Anyone remember this?
