In December 2025, Opinion columnists Leah Badawi '27, Paul Caruso, MPA, and Lali Tobin, MPA, published a piece titled "One to Rule Them All" which criticised The Sun Editorial Board's annual endorsement of Student Assembly candidates. Instead they called on the board to "allow students to let their actions speak for themselves." With Spring elections for the Student Assembly now underway, Badawi and Caruso revisited their column and defended their stance in a conversation with Associate Editor Sophia Romanov Imber '26.
