The University introduced Bill Courtney as the new Robert E. Gallagher '44 Head Coach of Cornell Men's Basketball.

The men's basketball team continued its legendary NCAA tournament run, defeating fourth-seeded Wisconsin to advance to the Sweet 16 in Syracuse, N.Y.

The men's basketball team's season began with its first win over a Southeastern Conference team in 37 years ... and ended at the hands of the top-ranked SEC squad in the country.

The Sun names Ryan Wittman its Athlete of the Year.

As if saying goodbye to the most decorated senior class in Cornell men’s basketball history wasn’t enough, students and faculty alike were dealt another emotional blow yesterday afternoon –– when it was announced that Steve Donahue would take over as Boston College’s head coach. According to a University source, it is also “highly likely” that current Cornell assistant Nat Graham will accompany Donahue to B.C.

According to the Boston Herald, Cornell’s Steve Donahue will be announced as Boston College’s new head coach today.

Senior tri-captain/center Jeff Foote left many reporters scratching their heads following today’s player press conference. When asked about how the team balances basketball with the academic rigors of Cornell, Foote responded by talking about yesterday’s bus ride to the hotel and police escorts –– adding that tomorrow’s matchup with No. 5 Temple is “anyone’s game” and that he’s “really looking forward to it.”

For the men’s basketball team this season, the first rule of the NCAA tournament, might as well have been you do not talk about the NCAA tournament. Well ... sort of.  

Does it seem as if Cornell head coach Steve Donahue and Temple head coach Fran Dunphy would rather play the ’95 Chicago Bulls than square off against each other in the NCAA tournament? Regardless of their close friendship, Donahue’s No. 12-seeded Red and Dunphy’s No. 5 Owls are slated for a 12:30 p.m. tipoff Friday afternoon in Jacksonville, Fla.
