Letter to the Editor: Policy program ignored

Re: “Social Sciences Task Force Calls For New School of Public Policy,” News, Dec. 2

This article about a call for a new school of Public Policy is missing one main fact, there is currently a masters program in public affairs at Cornell housed in the Cornell Institute of Public Affairs.

CIPA has more than 200 current graduate students, more than any other policy program on campus, but is not mentioned in the article at all. If you Google “cornell public policy” it is the first link that comes up. It’s a shame that such a huge part of Cornell’s graduate student offerings does not even get mentioned once in such a lengthy article.
