Grad Student Dies in Car Accident Near Ithaca

Jade Woods Moore grad died in a two-vehicle collision around 3:15 p.m. Tuesday afternoon near the Town of Dryden, the University said in a statement late Tuesday.

Police reports say Moore’s car crashed into a tractor-trailer on the 1700 block of Route 13 near the Mineah Road intersection. State police and Dryden Ambulance responded to the scene, emergency officials told The Ithaca Journal, and transported Moore to the Cayuga Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. 

Moore’s husband, Bill Moore, was a passenger in the car. He was in critical condition at the Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, Pa. as of late Tuesday, medical officials said. 

Moore, 24, was a graduate candidate in the Masters of Public Administration program.
