Orton to shoot 2 from the line...misses first
16-12 Kentucky, 7:52 to play in the half

Starting lineups just announced.
Kentucky cheerleaders carrying very enormous KU flags..
And here comes Cornell! I'm getting chills, this is insanity, sheer MADNESS!
Boos for Kentucky like nothing I've ever heard before! Coach D was right...Newman Nation has made this Orange stadium all Red!
61-50 WVU with 3:53 to play...Nate Robinson (sitting behind me, kind of) has sworn at the officials at least 20 times...he's a very intense man, sitting with two former teammates. According to JM of Slope TV Sports, he's the only one of the three to pick Cornell
Sun columnist Peter Finocchiaro: "At one of three designated meetups for CU fans in Miami. Purely by accident. I am so pumped up."
Upsets ARE possible...Syracuse score just announced at the Dome...Kentucky band members cheering loudly...can we have enough from the Kentucky BAND?!
63-59 Butler FINAL
If that is true...could two No. 1 seeds potentially go down tonight?? Stay tuned to find out
WVU up 50-41 with 10 minutes to play...roommate is saying that Syracuse lost??
Already-damaged iPhone is getting ready to explode...keep getting texts while trying to tweet. I hate technology.
We might have an upset brewing (in Salt Lake)...getting score updates from a Cornell fan in the house, since my wireless is uber-sketch
Cornell fans outnumber the Kentucky fans here thus far
From Pete Thamel: If the N.C.A.A. Tournament makes hundreds of millions more by expanding to 96 teams, perhaps then they'll have functioning wireless Internet ...wise man.
I don't need to say what happens to teams that underestimate their opponents...
As Barry Leonard just said, it's like when one of the St. John's players, said to another St. John's player: "Guard the little boy" ... in reference to Ski
Two different Kentucky band members, to person next to them, while walking past the bracket on display: "Should we just fill it in now?"
Washington: 29 WVU: 27 at the half
True story: Pete Thamel is sitting behind me and two seats to the right...how'd this happen? Granted he is more centered, but one would think The Times should be front row over The Daily Sun! (not that I'm complaining)...this is a great seat
Watching WVU/Washington
Internet is being REALLY slow...live-blog might not be all that live. In other news, I just had a conversation with Rick Reilly, who is basically the reason I became interested in sports journalism.
Rick Reilly. Childhood icon. Heck, adulthood icon.
Spotted: Andy Katz and Jeff Goodman having a pow-wow...it's like the Harvard game in Cambridge all over again!
At the Dome. Chilling until game time. Good seat on press row...about 3 away from SI's representative. Did an interview with some reporter from Lexington. Buying Sweet 16 shirts.
New blog post from today's open media practice
Locker room was complete madness (Jeff Goodman and Pete Thamel in the house tho!) ... Fortunately got what I needed, blog post coming soon.
Kentucky getting booed very loudly as the Wildcats take the court for their open media practice.
En route to Syracuse with JM and RE of Slope TV Sports fame...I was just on ESPN First Take -- at least my name and voice was. Hopefully there will be a link to it somewhere soon ... Sorry for the shameless self-promotion, but in the words of Lou Dale, "after this it's nothing but babies and memories"
Second radio interview = success! ... except for the split second where I couldn't think of John Wall's name...from Denver to Long Island, everyone wants to talk Cornell basketball!
Just went on ESPN Radio Denver and picked Cornell over Kentucky...don't let me down guys! In other news, now all of Denver knows my SAT score
Also just updated the Temple recap from Friday...sorry for the delay, I really need to be in a quote-transcribing mood.
Blog post to follow...I have to say, they're a lot more fun to write
Just updated the recap of yesterday's win over Wisconsin
Follow us at www.twitter.com/dailysunsports to see photos from Sunday's game, along with a couple candids –– all courtesy of Sun staff photographer Tina Chou
Everyone should have the opportunity to travel with the basketball team...always a good time. So entertaining.
Former Sun Sports Editor Jeremy Schaap is coming to Cornell tomorrow to do a story on Cornell Basketball.
Riding on the team bus to the airport because there wasn't enough room on the cheerleader/band/administrator bus. What up Aaron Osgood bus buddy.
Obama was wrong with his prediction that Wisconsin would beat us...but Jay Bilas is still going strong! Elite Eight here we come!
Watching Duke-Cal right now, getting ready to fly home (to Cornell) tonight...Syracuse on Wednesday, this has been the best Spring Break EVER.
Susan Murphy was in the house for the game! And Andy Noel made it too!
Thinking this live-blog is good luck, probably going to keep it going if no one has any objections. Now Jay Bilas is going to get a chance to prove to everyone that he actually does know what he's talking about.

But as a Wofford fan the other day said to the Wisconsin team, "You guys may be the Red, but watch out for the BIG RED"
For those unable to watch, Wisconsin's official nickname is the "Badgers"...but they are also known colloquially as the Red
This is about to happen, and by "this" I mean tip-off.
Sorry I meant five minutes and counting
Players take the court, 7 minutes and counting
This is how they stay loose, and it works!
Team currently warming up with a wiffle ball...not allowed to touch an actual basketball until I think an hour prior to tip-off
Still 2 hours away from tip-off
Back at the Jacksonville Veterans Memorial Arena for the last time...leaving after the game regardless of the outcome
Getting dinner with the Slope Sports guys at the Landing...story of our lives the past three days
Kansas the first No. 1 seed out...who woulda thought?
Pool time a disappointment. Too many young children splashing, too much wind, too much cold, not enough SUN
Uneventful media day. Pool time? Finally?
Tip-off against Wisconsin scheduled for 2:50 on Sunday...hoping more Cornellians will make it to Jacksonville for the game! There's going to be so much Red.
Good morning -- getting ready for another media day
To history, to the Sweet 16, to Bo Ryan looking exactly like his team's mascot (a badger)

Just to recap: Flew on the team's chartered plane, the first-ever flight from Ithaca to Jacksonville. History in the making here.
