Tuesday, November 10th marked Bon Jovi’s return to rock. In 2007, the band dabbled in country music with its tenth album, “Lost Highway”, only to explode back into its original scene with its eleventh album, “The Circle”.
Not surprisingly, the album features some political content, as front man Jon Bon Jovi’s involvement with the Democratic Presidential campaign in 2008 is no secret to fans. The Circle’s third track, “Work for the Working Man”, discusses a socioeconomic divide in America, especially pertinent in the modern day recession. Moreover, the music video for the first single released, “We Weren’t Born to Follow”, features iconic American images, including some still shots of Barack Obama.

The boys from New Jersey’s post-millennium sound continues to be consistent with its first of its newer material – the album, “Crush”, in 2000. The album, featuring smash hit “It’s My Life” could easily be relocated to “The Circle”, and that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Jovi fans know what they can count on, and year after year, the band continues to crank up the volume, even though its members are well into their 40s.

To top off the new CD, the band has announced a world tour, including a christening of the New Meadowlands Stadium in (you guessed it) New Jersey, in late May.
It seems the boys are back in town.
