Over the weekend, our development team deployed a much overdue upgrade to our installation of Drupal, the open-source content management system that has been behind CornellSun.com since 2006. Welcome to Drupal 6.

Unfortunately, along with this upgrade came a few technical incompatibilities. One of the biggest issues was with our e-mail edition, "Sunmailer." If you're a subscriber to our newsletter, you may have noticed that there hasn't been an email since last week. We're working hard to rectify the issues, and we look forward to getting it back up and running soon.

This upgrade was necessary and it will lend a number of enhancements to CornellSun.com, which you should be seeing soon. Coming later this semester we'll be launching a full redesign of our site. Look for a preview of that on this blog later this week.

For now, you may notice certain things around the site that look different or don't function as they were supposed to. If you run into errors that you didn't expect, please notify us at web@cornellsun.com so that we can fix any other issues that may have come about because of the upgrade. Also please let us know if you can't find features that you enjoyed before. Feedback will help us determine which features come along to the next version of the site, and which don't make the cut.
