Where did you get your boots [a bright, multi-colored, swirling pattern]?
DSW. On Black Friday, actually, the hell day of shopping. I’ve actually had people compliment me on them, crazy hippies at Loaves and Fishes in Ithaca who laughed at me. I go down there Tuesdays and Thursdays with Cornell Against Hunger.
So you’re from Long Island. Do you recognize the Cornell stereotype of this school being full of Long Islanders?
To a certain extent [laughs]. I’d like more diversity, but it’s still more [diverse] than it was in my high school.
What did you do over the break?
I worked full-time in a law office, but I also got to visit a friend … who has a house on the beach. I went to the beach and watched the sunrise on New Years.
What are your New Years resolutions?
I didn’t really try to make too many, since I knew I would probably break them. But I guess [my resolutions are] to focus more on school and not procrastinate as much and do more community service. I try to do at least two things a week. Over break, I organized some friends … and we cleaned up some garbage for fun.
What’s the coldest place you’ve ever been to?
Probably the beach on New Years. But I was just reading Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer, and he was talking about how the wind chill on Everest is negative 100 degrees, so I think I’ll never complain about Ithaca again. RLD
