Food at Cornell, From Appel to Wegman's

For some people, food is a necessity. For others, it is a pleasure. For some, eating is a nuisance. Either way, everyone has to deal with food to survive. So how do Cornellians take their meals? How do the meal plans and dining options on campus stack up? And do we all really gain the freshman 15?

From Appel to Wegman’s, Big Red Barn to Trillium, we all have to get our calories somehow. Erin Keene finds out what students, nutritionists and professors feel about the food options and lets experts weigh in on how to keep those pesky pounds off.

While eating may be a constant in all Cornell students’ lives, the rest of our daily agendas vary enormously. This week, Eclipse debuts a new feature that delves into the private, every day lives of students on The Hill. Cornell Diaries reveals the intimate details of students’ lives, with a different student diary every week. In this edition, read about the coke-loving, Church-going junior. If you think you’ve got a more interesting, unique or even more common story, we’d love to hear it. Send us an excerpt of your calendar or diary. We promise to keep all of your dirty (or not so dirty) secrets — all submissions will be kept completely anonymous, always.

Send your comments and submissions to eclipse@cornellsun.com, and stay warm!

Cheers,
