Libertarian Christine Smith - and why wasn't Ron Paul listed?
I'm a Libertarian, and there are a couple of my party's candidates who are pretty good - I'm currently leaning toward Christine Smith, but Steve Kubby and George Phillies are good people too.
I'm disappointed that you didn't include Ron Paul in your poll. I voted for him 20 years ago, and while I'm not going to re-register as a Republican to vote for him, and don't like his anti-immigrant views, he's certainly the best of the Republicans out there. McCain's pro-war position make him a non-starter, but otherwise he used to be a pretty decent guy before he started toadying up to Bush around 2006, and Romney's been a weasel from the beginning. The Huckster's a decent guy, except for liking war and not liking immigrants and not having a clue about fiscal responsibility, but he's at least honest about who and what he is, much to the annoyance of the Bush League, who think evangelicals should know their place and do what they're told they believe in. And at least Rudy's gone now.
I like Obama better than Clinton, but either of them's better than having the Republicans in office any longer. He's a bit of a stuffed shirt, but he's likely to clean house better than she will. Edwards was a big fan of wiretapping and privacy invasion, and I hope he stays gone rather than coming back as Vice President.
