How Many Punches Can One Party Have?

November 2, 2007

I’m planning a party this weekend — two actually. One’s early Saturday night for work friends, and one’s later Saturday night. A few friends and I brainstormed some ideas for punch bowls. Most people said lots of liquor, lots of vodka, vodka and fruit punch, etc. One suggested roofies, vodka and something sweet. (I do not recommend this.)

I’ve presented some of the better ones here:

Everything But The… Punch

Whatever beer you have in the fridge (6 pack)

One bottle vodka, everclear, etc.

One galloon fruit punch

One large can pineapple juice

Dump all into bowl or cooler and serve.

Rebecca Punch (i.e. Sparkling Sherbet Surprise)

½ gallon sherbet

Two bottles cheap ‘champagne’

One bottle vodka

33 ounces pineapple juice

Combine champagne, vodka and juice. Add scoops of sherbet.

Carol Punch

One liter vodka

1/3 gallon lemonade

2/3 gallon fruit punch

Licorice for use as straws

Mix vodka, lemonade and fruit punch in large bowl. Place licorice straws just inside rim, with the tops sticking out. Share with friends.

Nate Punch (i.e. Hooch)

2 cans lemonade concentrate

7 light beers

1/5 canadian whiskey

one packet cherry KoolAid

Soften and break up lemonade concentrate. Add beer, whiskey and KoolAid powder.

Jess Punch (i.e. the DeMartino Special)

Any light beer

Pinch of salt

Tabasco to taste

Add Tabasco and salt to beer. Mix with a small stirrer. Should taste like chicken wings.

Jasmine Punch (i.e. Peaches and Cream)

½ gallon vanilla ice cream

one pint strawberries

fifth of orange flavored vodka

Mix together in pitcher. If it’s too sweet for you, add regular vodka as well.
