Only two days until Valentine’s Day! It would be a good assumption to say most of you already have your Valentine’s plans set in stone (maybe you even took the advice of Cheap Dates in last week’s Red Letter Daze), but what if you meet the one tonight?

Does it ever really happen — locking eyes across Johnny O’s and actually getting legit butterflies in your stomach (not just the nausea from one drink too many)? I’ve never experienced it, but I can help with what to do next.

No one wants to be a “clinger,” no one. So you can’t really text your one true love two days after you met and say, “Dinner tonight at John Thomas?” But there is a way to casually initiate the Valentine’s Day date — mixing “spontaneity” and romance.
