The Royal Palm Tavern is no longer financially sustainable, largely because of changes in student drinking habits. The family-owned bar's last day will be Feb. 29.

On Tuesday, three days after rapper B.o.B. and his entourage of 12 people neglected to pay their $1,060 tab at Level B, the artist’s manager offered $2,000 to the Collegetown bar.

Johnny O’s has been closed indefinitely and will not reopen in the fall. The bar’s liquor license expired in May, and its landlord is searching for a new tenant.

Michael Maley, Dino’s assistant manager, says the landlord did not respond to attempts to renew the bar's lease for the coming year.

Owners of Loco Margarita Bar & Grill say business has been buzzing since the eatery became the newest College­town bar on April 1.
