Matthew Zika ’11, a 21-year-old student in the College of Engineering, is believed to have died Friday afternoon after dropping from the suspension bridge over Fall Creek Gorge, according to University and law enforcement officials.

Rescue workers recovered the body of Bradley Ginsburg '13 from Fall Creek Gorge yesterday after the Cornell University Police Department received a call at about 10:10 a.m. that a body had been spotted under the Thurston Avenue Bridge.

CUPD is leading the investigation into the events that caused Ginsburg’s death. As of Wednesday night, there was no information available about the nature of Ginsburg's death. University officials declined to offer any additional details about the situation.

Since walking onto East Hill three years ago, Adam Frey ’11 showed himself to be one of the University’s most tenacious competitors in any venue. Frey died on Dec. 26 after a battle with cancer that lasted nearly two years and showcased all aspects of his winning personality.

Oliver S. Schaufelberger ’11 died at his home in Lebanon, New Jersey on Jan. 13. Schaufelberger was an environmental science major in the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences, and was heavily involved on campus.
